An Afghan Engagement Ceremony
Zehra and Ramin celebrated their Shirini Khori at her brother's home in Haverhill, MA. Together with their friends and family, they exchanged sweets, gifts, and rings, before dancing the Attan.
The bride wore a beautiful green Nikkah, and received a green shawl during the Shawl Angoshtar ceremony. The color green symbolizes prosperity, new beginnings and fertility, and is the traditional color wedding dress for Afghan brides.
