47th Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival
Boston hosted the First Dragon Boat Festival in North America! This year’s festival included boat races, an eye-dotting ceremony, a dragon dance parade, cultural performances and speeches, plus food trucks and vendors. The dragonboats and their dragonriders raced in the Charles River, and the festivities were held in Cambridge’s River Bend Park, just outside of Harvard Square.
